| My name is Toi Nicole
Curry. I was born on April 1, 1986 at Mt. Sinai Hospital. I have
lived in Cleveland most of my life. I lived in a house with my
grandfather (Pops), my grandmother (Granny), and my mother. My
father was not to far away, just a couple streets over.
When I was three, my mother and I moved to Greensboro, North
Carolina. I liked it there as far as I can remember. But when my
grandmother got sick with cancer, we moved back. We were home just
a little while before she died. I was five then and that was in
1991.
In 1996 my mother got married, and we moved away to Altamonte
Springs Florida. I loved the city, but I did not care too much for
the people. In 2000, my mother got divorced and we moved back to
Ohio, to Richmond Heights. I liked our apartment but again did not
care too much for the people. Finally we moved back to my
grandfather's house. I attended Whitney Young Middle School for the
eighth grade at this time. I was comfortable there because I knew
mostly everyone from elementary school.
I have been attending John F. Kennedy for all four years of
High School which is the first time I have stayed at the same school
for as long as allowed. Growing up, I have had many different
career choices such as a singer, dancer, Barbie doll maker, board
game creator, artist, author, interior designer, fashion designer,
elementary school teacher and psychologist. Now I have decided to
stick to psychologist and fashion designer.
I would like to attend Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee
and double major in psychology and fashion design and minor in
music. I plan on attending college long enough to obtain my Ph.D.
I do not want to take a break from school in between degrees because
how I see it now, if I do, I will not go back to school.
When I finish school, I will be around 26. Eventually I would
like to open my own store. I'm not sure if I want to have children
but if I have one child, I would like to have another. I definitely
want to get married maybe around the age of 30, but right now I'm
focused on graduating from high school.
